It’s a disease that appears as saliva amount is reduced by 50%, causing difficulty in functions such as swallowing, as well as speeding up of decay formation and progress on teeth, and may result in bleeding and infection on teeth. Deterioration in the function of saliva glands would reduce the saliva amount. Diabetes, cardiac and hypertension pills, and particularly antidepressants and antihistaminics, and many others, cause dryness in mouth. Cotton mouth is formed in cancer patients and people having radiotherapy as well. Drug addicts also have cotton mouth.
